What are your prices?
A.I offer a variety of packages, including mini-sessions and full sessions with files. Please contact me for more information.
Do you offer mini-sessions? What's included?
A.I offer limited mini-sessions throughout the year. These sessions are 20 minutes and are for up to 5 immediate family members. After your session, you will receive an online proofing gallery and can select 3 high-resolution files to download. You will also have the opportunity to purchase all of the files in your gallery if you choose.
What is the difference between a Full or Half Session and a Petite (mini) Session?
A.Half sessions are available any time and include all of the high-resolution files from your gallery. A mini-session (aka Petite Session) is available only at certain times and specific locations. A Petite session includes an online proofing gallery and 3 high-resolution files. Availability for Petite Sessions is extremely limited.
What's included in your sessions?
A.All sessions include the following:
-time and talent of the photographer
-an online gallery to browse and select your images
- basic color and exposure correction of all images in your gallery
-travel within 20 miles of 92694
Sessions are for up to 5 people in an immediate family unit. Please contact me for a custom quote on larger group sessions.
How many photos do I get?
A.The number of photos presented depends on the length of the session and the number of people being photographed. As a general rule of thumb, I deliver approximately 75 photos for a full session and 45 photos for a half session.
Do you offer extended family sessions (i.e, grandparents, cousins, etc?)
A.Absolutely! My normal session fees are for up to 5 people, but I offer custom sessions for extended family. Please inquire for an exact quote.
Can I bring my dog?
A.Please do! I am an animal lover and self-proclaimed dog whisperer. However, some locations do not allow pets. Please contact me to discuss some dog-friendly shooting locations.
What if my kids misbehave, act crazy or cry?
A.As a mom, I understand how stressful a portrait session can be. I also know that the energy or stress that parents bring to the session can make a huge difference on our kids' behavior. I ask that parents let me take the reins with wrangling the kiddos and creating the smiles. Relax and let me do my thing ;)
Do I have to order prints through you?
A.I do offer professional-quality prints, but also offer high-resolution files to all of my clients. I am happy to fulfill print orders for you or direct you to a quality consumer photo lab.
What should we wear?
A.Above all else, wear something that you feel comfortable in. I generally recommend that families coordinate tones and colors to create a pleasing color palette for their images. Matching outfits are not required (and in my opinion should be avoided.) If you are struggling with what to wear, I recommend choosing an outfit for the most difficult person to dress first, then coordinating the other outfits around that color palette. Feel free to reach out if you need help!
Understanding file size and image resolution
A.Some clients are confused by the size of the files they receive when downloading their high-resolution images. It's important to understand that file size is not always related to resolution and does not determine how large you can print a photo. File size can be affected by the camera, its settings, the software used to process the photo and even the actual scene being photographed. For this reason, it is not useful to compare your high-resolution files against an iPhone photo or other images files you may have.
I will not give you any images that cannot be printed to AT LEAST 11x14 size, The vast majority of images I provide can be printed to 20x30 and even larger, with some sharpening.
